WIND SYMPHONY

The ERHS Wind Symphony is an auditioned ensemble carefully constructed of upper classmen who are interested in challenging themselves to reach their full potential. This ensemble performs at four main evening concerts during the year as well as the Northwest Suburban Conference day concerts, the Minnesota State Large Group Contest and Solo/Ensemble Contest. Students are required to be prepared for rehearsals through individual practice either at school or at home. It's only through this preparation that students can receive the full benefits of being in a music program.
Four Fundamental Classroom Policies:
1 - Allow the Instructor to teach.
2 - Allow other students to learn.
3 - Reach your full potential.
4 - Contribute to the success of the ensemble.
Requirements for this course are laid out in the Band Handbook which is located on the ERHS Bands link on top of this page. Traditionally this group has been a highly enthusiastic and creative ensemble. Every year we look to build that camaraderie through various social activities lead by our Wind Symphony Executives.
